Up or Down provides research and execution-interface software. It does not provide financial advice, manage funds, or promise profitable outcomes. You can lose all funds committed to a market.
Short-duration market risk
Five-minute Up or Down markets move quickly. Prices may change before an order reaches the order book, and a brief delay can materially change an outcome. Binary payouts concentrate risk: an incorrect position may expire with no value.
Historical and model risk
Paper trading, replay results, sample statistics, volatility measures, fair-value estimates, path comparisons, and regime indicators are based on historical data and assumptions. Data can be incomplete, definitions can create selection bias, and a pattern can stop working. Simulated performance omits some effects of live execution.
Execution and liquidity risk
Limit orders may not fill, may fill only partially, or may execute after conditions change. Spreads, thin liquidity, order-book changes, latency, market suspension, and API errors can affect entry and exit. A quick-exit control does not guarantee an immediate or favorable exit.
Technology and custody risk
Your browser, Chrome extension, device, wallet, VPS, network, RPC provider, Polymarket APIs, and blockchain infrastructure may fail or be compromised. You control and remain responsible for your trading private key. Anyone who obtains it may control associated funds.
Blockchain and stablecoin risk
Blockchain transactions are normally irreversible. Sending the wrong token, using the wrong network, or sending to the wrong address can cause permanent loss. Stablecoins may deviate from one US dollar, issuers may freeze tokens, and networks may experience congestion, reorganization, bridge failures, or forks.
Legal and access risk
Prediction-market rules differ by jurisdiction and can change. Platform eligibility, geographic restrictions, sanctions, taxes, and reporting duties are your responsibility. Technical connectivity does not make otherwise prohibited activity lawful or permitted under platform terms.
Practical safeguards
- Trade only funds you can afford to lose.
- Start with paper trading and small position sizes.
- Verify network, token contract, address, price, size, and market before confirming.
- Protect keys with a dedicated, secured browser profile and device.
- Do not treat an indicator or support response as personalized advice.
